Here is the toolbox we use in the yard. I made the box from scraps of cedar and had the old license plates from my favorite year. We use the barbecue tongs and bread knife for the top bar hives. The other various knives are for general comb-cutting. We use a standard hive tool and another one with a frame lifter. We also keep a queen clip and cage handy. There’s a smoker and a torch to light it. A bee brush, magnifying glass and some gloves round it out. Of course, there’s always one more thing we need.
